The Reiki Precepts
Here is a close translation of the original Five Reiki Precepts:
- Just for today:
- Don't get angry.
- Don't worry.
- Be grateful.
- Work hard.
- Be kind to others.

Here is my version of the Five Reiki Principles:
- Just For This Moment I Will...
- Be at Peace with myself and the world.
- Be present in the Now.
- Live with gratitude and forgiveness.
- Work diligently and with integrity.
- Have compassion for all living things.

Notes on my Principles:
Just For This Moment I Will... - Anything I have to do forever is too hard. Concentrate on just Now.
- Be at Peace with myself and the world. - Where there is Inner Peace, Anger cannot exist.
- Be present in the Now. - Live in the moment. When we worry it is about the past or the future. Now simply is. When we live in the Now, we cannot worry.
- Live with gratitude and forgiveness. - Learn from every experience, even if it doesn't feel like a blessing at the time. Forgiveness is not just for others, it is also for ourselves.
- Work diligently and with integrity. - Work on ourselves; On the road to Higher Awareness don't take shortcuts, if you haven't learned anything, what's the point?
- Have compassion for all living things. - Respect the oneness of all life. Honor all our relations. We are all Connected, respect for others of all species equals respect for ourselves.
